LINE developed an overall design characterized by sculptural elements, rich finishes and sumptuous and unexpected combinations creating a new, comfortable and wholly original home. Each material was treated so as to emphasize its inherent characteristics. Metals were polished, or burnished, woods were gouged, waxed, distressed, or left raw, stone was chiseled, hammered or polished, all creating a series of finishes which heighten one's experience of the material. Particular attention was given to lighting and to furnishings, which were custom designed by LINE. Finally, all the woods specified for the project were either reclaimed or FSC certified.
